About
This website is dedicated to the Flowing Hair Half Dime coins of the United States. Although only issued for two years, the series is very significant historically and represents an important coin for type set collectors.
The obverse of the coin features an image of Liberty with Flowing Hair, as the name suggests. The reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings within a wreath.
The two years of issue for the coin were 1794 and 1795. Both coins were likely minted and issued during 1795. The 1794 is the scarcer coin by mintage, although both are difficult to acquire.
